How it works
Our Journey programs require commitment. We count on our Youth Agency partners to recruit participants and cover part of the cost. Chicago Voyagers, on the other hand, designs the program to focus on a particular area of development such as leadership, teamwork, or communication.
Generally, Journeys comprise of eight teens and two adult chaperones (which the partnering agency is expected to send). We assign a guide, volunteers, and equipment. We are also responsible for the overall management of the program and do whatever we can to ensure everyone has a successful experience.

We are committed to providing teens opportunities who would not otherwise have one. 90% of the teens we serve are low-income. For this reason, we have discounted prices for organizations who serve predominately low-income youth and who have very limited budgets.
Prices are for the group, not per person. A 25% multi-program discount is already included with the Journey packages. For programs outside the Chicago-area, our prices assume you will transport two Chicago Voyager leaders and the equipment.
Low income youth (65%+) - 40%
Low income youth (50%-64%) - 30%
Financial hardship discounts - 10% to 30%
We will fundraise on your behalf to cover the discounted amount.
Prices are noted under each activity. Transportation is not included in those costs. If you need help with transportation, costs will range from $150 for a local one-day program to $650 for a 5-day program. Total averages per Journey package is $1,300.
By committing to this program, you agree to pay 25% of the regular non-discounted fee if you cancel/reschedule. This fee is increased to 50% if you cancel between 2 and 14 days before the program start. Cancellations with less than 48 hours before the program start incurs a 75% cancellation/reschedule fee so that we can cover our costs.
Late payment: payments over 30 days past due will be assessed a 1.5%/month fee.
