Passionate member of the Chicago Voyagers community and volunteer with the Carpe Ventus Sailing Program, Tom Stockwell, will be remembered for years to come.

Before moving to Chicago, Tom developed plans for a sailing mentorship program that he planned to bring to life. When he moved to Chicago, Tom found Carpe Ventus through a volunteer training program and began volunteering consistently since 2017. Tom served our youth as a dedicated volunteer, supporting with everything from admin support to co-leading programs and mentoring youth.

We are profoundly lucky to have received so many contributions from Tom. In memory of Tom’s contributions to Carpe Ventus, the Windependent has been renamed The Stockwell.
