The current Board is made up of members of the community who are highly qualified in the area of youth development and/or outdoors/wilderness skills. Our backgrounds are varied, but we all share a common commitment to our youth.

Jorge de Leon is a High School Social Worker. Juan Ascencio has dedicated his career to working with Chicago’s youth through Christopher House. Carl Hurdlik has worked for a leading community agency and works for Chicago Public Schools. Jonathan Wrobel is the store manger for the Schaumburg REI store. Bernie Rupe has spent 15 years in youth work and has a master's degree in Community Counseling. He also runs Big City Mountaineers' Midwest Region.
